Government ( D.N.R ) Degree College for Women

Government ( D.N.R ) Degree College for Women made a humble beginning with a student-strength of 45 offering B.A and B.Com Courses with Telugu as the medium of instruction. Today, with a student- strength of 376, the college offers three Undergraduate Programmes and two Certificate courses. It has three departments in the Science Faculty, three in Arts Faculty, three in the Language Faculty and one in Commerce. The college is recognized under (2f) and 12(B) by UGC since 1992, and follows annual system as per regulations of the parent University.

The college runs both Government - funded and self - financed courses. It is a rural college with a campus area of about 2.61 acres. There are twelve permanent, one part-time and four temporary teachers in the college. Of these five are ladies. Among the permanent faculty, one has Ph.D and two have M.Phil degrees. In the administrative section, there are five staff members (including one lady).

Support services in the college include a Central library, Computer Centre, Health Centre, and limited Sports Facilities. During the academic year 2005-06, there were 233 working days and 205 teaching days. The library worked for 233 days.
