S.R. & B.G.N.R. Government Degree & PG college was established  in 1956 with the generous contribution of Rs. 1,00,000/- by a renowned philanthropist Sri Gentela Narayana Rao. The circumstances that led to the establishment of the college are awe-inspiring.The Purpose was to cater to the educational needs of the backward agency and the tribal area of khammam district.S.R&B.G.N.R.Govt. Degree College is graded with B++ by the National Assessment and Accredited Council, Bangalore after being assessed by a peer team in December 2003. The College has recognition under U.G.C. 2 (f). The college is an adobe of research with an excellent teaching fraternity. It has a commitment towards molding students into global citizens through continuous endeavor.
