Government (S.R.R and C.V.R) Degree College, Vijayawada

The College was Affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University by an act of the State

Legislature, Andhra Pradesh, 1991. The College Was Recognized by the U.G.C. under 2(f) and

12(b) from the academic year 1978-79.

The Aim of the Institution is to provide qualitative higher education to the students of

the region particularly those coming from economically  poor, backward and other oppressed

classes keeping in view the avowed policies of the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh and the

guidelines given by the commissioner of Collegiate Education, A.P. from time to time, to

train the students in various vocational and other skills and also to inculcate social and

cultural values.

All Human excellence proceeds from truth and culminates in truth. Truth in realized by the

realization of eternal law i.e. Dharma. The Objective of the institution is not only to

dispel the darkness from minds of students but also promote in them the quest for

realization of the ultimate truth through a systematic study of the knowledge related to

various faculties. The crest and motto adopted by the college are emblematically related to

one another " VIDYA DHARMENA SOBHATE".

The College is spread over an area of seven acres of land situated in a prime locality of

Machavaram, which is in the corporation limits of vijayawada.
