Govt. Women's College

Government College for Women (GCW), Srinagar was established in 1950. The college is affiliated to University of Kashmir, recognized by UGC and accredited with ‘A’ grade by NAAC. It is a premier institution of Higher Learning for women in the State of Jammu and Kashmir. The college has a glorious past with excellent academic track record and has played a pivotal role for women education and empowerment in the state. GCW offers a holistic approach to education that provides students with opportunities to excel on campus in academics, student leadership and extra-curricular activities.
