About College

Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar, has the unique distinction of becoming the first educational institution in India to score 94.05% (Grade A+) – the highest score awarded to any College by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore & recognized as College with Potential For Excellence by UGC. 

Affiliated to the five-star Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, it is the oldest women institution and the strongest link in the network of about 700 DAV educational institutions of various types.

The institution is proud of its achievers who have left no stone unturned to win coveted positions in the University examination.  We have 33 First positions, 40 Second positions and 34 Third positions to our credit in GNDU Annual and Semester Exam.2011.  As many as 203 students have been placed in the University Merit List, 2017 students have passed in the First Division and 36 students have got distinction.  We have 100% results in 68 classes and 100% First divisions in 18 classes.
