About College

The Himalayan Pharmacy   Institute   is the pioneer institution conducting Pharmacy courses in the State. It started the Diploma course in Pharmaceutical Sciences in the year 1990 and Degree course in Pharmaceutical Sciences in the year 1997.

There are Post Graduate courses viz Pharmaceutics, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Analysis & Quality Assurance. The institute has been approved by Govt. of Sikkim, AICTE, PCI and affiliated to Sikkim Central University. The institute has been accrediated by QSI; ISO 9001:2008 and also by International Accrediation Organization (IAO), Houstan, Texas, USA.

The Institute is situated at Majhitar, four kilometer ahead of Rangpo, the border town of West Bengal and Sikkim. Majhitar is 70km away from Siliguri, (West Bengal) 40km remain to Gangtok by the side of the National Highway 31A. The nearest Railway Station is New Jalpaiguri and the Airport is Bagdogra. The Governing Body of Himalayan Pharmacy Institute is composed of members from the Govt. of Sikkim and nominee from AICTE & University.
