Indore Institute of Pharmacy

Indore Institute of Pharmacy (IIP), Indore was established in 2004 is a part of Shail Group of Institutions. The college is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi Proudyigiki Vishvavidyalaya (RGPV). The college is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). The Institution practices a balanced approach to teaching, which is a judicial mix of theoretical classes and practical work. The college also enhance the students’ learning experience through project work. Industrial visits to Pharma industries and on the job training is regular feature. Guest lectures by eminent person from the industry are an integral part of curriculum as well.

The scope of practice for pharmacy includes more traditional roles such as compounding and dispensing medications. It also includes more modern services related to patient care, clinical services, reviewing medications for safety and efficacy, and providing drug information. Pharmacists, therefore, can be considered the experts on drug therapy and are the primary health professionals who optimize medication use to provide patients with positive health outcomes.
