JCT College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore was established by Shri Jagannath Educational Health and Charitable Trust which was renowned and philanthropic people with an objective of providing education to all especially the down trodden and rural population. The Institute was established in 2009 for offering a wide range of high quality education and training opportunities to a wide cross section of students. In JCT Students will be encouraged to get equipped and sensitized to understand full implications of their decisions, actions and ever inactions. This Institute is also striving hard to attain a unique status in the international level by means of infrastructures, state-of-the-art computing facilities and techniques. The vision of the Institute is establishing sustainable partnership with educational Institutions, R&D laboratories for developing centers of excellence in selected areas of science and technology.

JCT College of Engineering and Technology has separate hostels for Boys and Girls inside the campus, with well furnished and spacious rooms. The hostels have excellent water facility, modern kitchen and dining. The students are provided with the choice of vegetarian and non vegetarian food. The rooms are furnished with individual cots, tables, chairs, and bureau. Importance is given in maintaining discipline and security of the students. The placement cell of  JCT Institute is constituted to provide the right perspective regarding the various career options available to the students and sufficiently train them to choose and pursue their careers of choice. The training program encompasses a three stage process to train the students to make them ready for the industry and develop the etiquettes of the corporate world. The placement department supports students with resources and ideas, a database, notification of new placements etc. The college committed to the total upliftment of the society by imparting quality professional education, aiming at modeling totally competent professionals with ingenuity, adaptability, social commitment and ethical spiritual values by creating a congenial academic ambience that kindles innovative thinking, continually upgrade the quality management system through empowerment and involvement.
