Jayamatha Engineering College (JEC) is established in 1995 and the college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education. The trust shall continue to strive in building institutions of academic brilliance. The selvam educational and charitable trust and rajas educational and charitable trust, vadakangulam were established in the year 1984 under the chairmanship of Dr.S.A.Raja, a popular philanthropist and educationist hailing from vadakkangulam.These trusts have started a group of professional colleges and all the institutions are approved by the AICTE.

Encouraged by the wide encomium received from all quarters of the country, Sri A.Johnsel Raja, the eldest son of Dr. S.A. Raja established the Jaya Educational and Charitable Trust, Nagercoil in the year 1994. Under the functional control of this trust, Jayamatha Engineering College was started at Aralvaimozhi in Kanyakumari District. Our Mission is to make Engineering Education affordable to all, and to prepare the younger generation of today for the technical world of tomorrow, thereby contributing to the Technological progress of our Nation.
