About College

Loyola Academy Degree & P. G. College, Hyderabad was established in 1976 by Rev. Fr. T. Balaiah, S.J.  The Academy is managed and administered by the Jesuits of Andhra Jesuit Province, belonging to the Society of Jesus, an international Catholic Religious order. It is affiliated to the prestigious Osmania University.

It was granted autonomous status in 1992 by the University Grants Commission. Appreciating the achievements and qualitative pursuit of higher educational needs, UGC has awarded a rare status known as "College with Potential for Excellence" to this college and also extended CPE phase II projects.

In addition to that, National Accreditation Council awarded, Grade ‘A’ to this institution in recognition of its excellent contribution to the cause of higher education in 2005 and the college is undergoing NAAC Reaccreditation in this academic year.
