Maheshwara Institute of Technology, Hyderabad has gained the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Government of India. The college is a constituent part of Maheshwara Group of Institutions, which is a registered Society. The college is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad.

The College conducts four-year, undergraduate degree course in various disciplines of engineering along with post graduate degree level course in Computer Application and Business Administration.
