About College

Mata Gujri College, Fatehgarh Sahib was founded in the year 1957 to commemorate the supreme martyrdom of Mata Gujri, the revered mother of the Tenth Master, Guru Gobind Singh. Facing the historic shrine of Fatehgarh Sahib, a living testimony of the unique sacrifice of the two younger Sahibzadas, Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh who were bricked alive by the tyrannical Mughal rulers, the college was built brick by brick by its founders. Mata Gujri College is to provide to the rural youth educational opportunities that emphasize skills & knowledge that will allow the student to adjust through a lifetime of social and technological change. They recognize that education is vital in developing skills needed for a productive society and essential in promoting the individual’s sense of worth, value and high ethical standards. The college is committed to offer quality education to its students and to assist them in discovering their leadership qualities and to fulfill their educational goals.
