Namchi Government College

Namchi Government College (NGC), Sikkim was established in 1995. It is a well-known arts college in this region. The objective of the college is to provide a complete learning experience, nurturing the creative ability and providing high quality education to every student. Well-qualified and experienced lecturers help the students in accomplishing their aim. All academic activities are carried out in accordance with Sikkim University.

The college comes under the Sikkim University, established under Sikkim University Act, 2006.In July 2007, the University started functioning. The first Vice Chancellor of Sikkim University is Professor Mahendra P. Lama. It was established and fully funded by the Government of India under an Act of Parliament. It is a central university. The educational jurisdiction of the University extends the entire state of Sikkim.
