About College

The Jindal Education and Welfare Society were born out of a desire to promote education and welfare for the needy. It is promoted by Jindal Steel & Power limited, India’s fastest growing steel and power Company. The society has opted 42 villages and is working to engineer their socio-economic development. It also runs free medical facility, family planning and eye camps. Special effort is being made to help the physically challenged and the girl child.

The society has embarked upon improving educational standards by promoting 47 teachers to different Schools, Laboratories, Library, Computer labs, Furniture, Seminars for the teachers and scholarships for meritorious students. The society spent Rs. 32 crores in 2007-08 to set up systems to improve the economic standing of people.

The society is also running the O.P. Jindal School at Raigarh, where over 4500 students are being imparted quality education. It also runs a 100 bed O.P. Jindal Hospital & Research Centre at Raigarh.
