About College

Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College was established at Dinanagar in 1965 under the aegis of Swami Dayanand Saraswati ji in order to impart quality education to women. The sole aim of institution was to harness the pernicious human resource, the women for the welfare of the society. Knowing education alone is the panacea of all evils in the society, the Institute prepares women to combat these evils extremely well started with 46 students in residential building of four rooms, it has taken long strides to spread human values among women. College has been accredited by NAAC with B++ grade with highest score in Distt. Gurdaspur  with more than 80% points.
The College is committed to quality education not only in academic sphere but in extra-curricular and sports activities also. Seminars, Conferences, Exhibitions and workshops are regular feature of its UG/PG deptts. This Institution is making every possible effort towards changing the life of poor and down trodden of area by educating their women folk. College takes pride in inculcating the spirit of self-confidence perseverance and analytical thinking in the students besides fulfilling the main aim of providing excellent facilities for learning and achieving scholastic heights.
