About College

Smt. Kesharbai Lahoti Mahavidyalaya, Amravati is managed by Shri. Ganeshdas Rathi Chhatralaya Samiti, the parent body of the college. It was started in 1960, as Raj Mahavidyalaya with the Arts and Social Science faculties, which later on was renamed as Smt. Kesharbai Lahoti Mahavidyalaya. Commerce faculty was added to Arts and Social science faculties in 1962.

 M. A. Hindi and M. Com. courses were introduced in 1970 and 1972 respectively. P.G. Diploma course in Taxation and B. Com. (English Medium) were also introduced in 1981. Presently, the college offers under graduate courses in Geography, History, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Hindi, English, Marathi, Urdu, Persian and Commerce. P. G. courses in Hindi and Commerce besides P. G. Diploma in Taxation were introduced. Recently the college has also started P. G. Diploma in Business Management.
