Sri Muthukumaran Institute of Technology ( SMIT ) is established with an aim of producing dedicated engineers with a yen to build future. It transforms the budding engineers into academically excellent, highly intellectual and self-disciplined engineering graduates and also mould them into good citizens with the sprit of integrity and morality, catering to the needs of our nation.

SMIT imparts quality education with high standards of excellence in Engineering and Technology, to provide excellent infrastructure with a serene and conducive atmosphere that would motivate the students in their pursuit of knowledge in field of Engineering and Technology.
