About College

The foundation stone for the Engineering College building was laid down by our beloved Late Chief Minister Dr. Y.S. Rajashekhara Reddy garu in the year 2006-07 in the campus of Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam. This is the first Engineering College started in Public Sector exclusively for women candidates in the State of Andhra Pradesh. The class work was started for the first batch of students joined through EAMCET/ ECET – 2006 with effect from 04-09-2006.

The School of Engineering & Technology, SPMVV, Tirupati has been established on Self financed/ Self funding basis with the approval of the Government of Andhra Pradesh vide GOMS NO: 91 dated 11-07-2006 and also by AICTE through its letter No. S. No. AICTE/E & T/ AP/2009-10/12 dt: 11-06-2009 with an approved intake of 60 students in each branch.
