Sri Ramanujar Engineering College ( SREC ) aspires to spread the light of knowledge and thus to drive away the darkness of ignorance and illiteracy. It aims at inculcating an awareness in the minds of the youth and enlightening their thoughts, to train the students in their intellectual, moral, spiritual, emotional, physical, social and aesthetic faculties so as to make them virtuous citizens. 

SREC is also engaged in supporting the students to refine the necessary skills, attitude and the aptitude towards the coporate placement process in the campus by the way of the periodical competitive tests and group interaction exercises.
