About College

R.C. Patel College of Education, Shirpur is a teacher training college, established in 1990 by Shirpur Education Society. The Society was founded in 1980 by Shri Amrishbhai R. Patel for providing quality and excellence in Education. Thus, the Society has established 12 preprimary schools, 11 primary schools, 9 ashram schools, 16 secondary schools, 8 higher secondary schools and 1 women’s senior college. There are five professional colleges including the B.Ed college.

R. C. Patel College is situated in semi urban locality and got permanent affiliation of North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon since 1993. It follows annual system. The B.Ed course was started with 160 students enrolled in 1990. The college is lately recognized by NCTE as per the order WRC/2-32/2003/46/2368 dated 26.05.2003 for an intake of 200 students. The college has the thought “the quality of education in a nation is as high as the quality of its teachers” which is central to all its endeavors.

The college has enrolled 200 students in the B.Ed course of which 141 are boys and 59 girls. The U.G.C. has recognized the college in 25.03.2004 under ‘2F’ vide letter F 8-129/2003 (CPP-I). The sources of funding include students’ fees, loans etc. Government Scholarships are awarded to SC and NT students.
