The College was established by the V.L.B. Trust in the year 1985, a charitable organization founded by the great philanthropist and industrialist, the late Shri.V.L.BalaKrishna Naidu. It is a private school affiliated with Anna University. It offers both undergraduate & postgraduate education. College offers its students physical infrastructure facilities on the most modern lines.

V. L. B. Janakiammal College of Engineering and Technology is a self-financing engineering college located at Kovaipudur, Coimbatore, India. It is a private school affiliated with Anna University. It offers both undergraduate and postgraduate education. It was awarded its accreditation status by the NBA (National Board of Accreditation) for most of its courses. Currently the college name is changed as "Sri Krishna College of Technology"

It is located in Kovaipudur, within the Coimbatore border, about 30 km from Palakkad. Due to its proximity to Kerala and the relative lack of engineering colleges in Kerala, a considerable number of Malayalees study here. It is in tune with the number of Malayalee students in other Coimbatore colleges.
