Veterinary College

Veterinary College, Bangalore - main focus of this institution is to make Veterinary Education responsive to the growing needs of the society in general and aspirations of the livestock farmers in particular. In this direction it strives hard to produce highly skilled and competent manpower to meet the needs of the changing society and challenges of the new areas of research and extension.

The well equipped college hospital and other departments besides imparting teaching and research, also serve the farmers and livestock owners of the state as part of extension activities. The college has instructional farm that includes dairy, sheep and piggery units, poultry farm and experiment small animal unit.

Students from different parts of the country as well as the world have passed out through the portals of this institution. Initially, the college is affiliated to Mysore university and later it is afiliated under Indian Veterinary Research Institute.
