Canara Bank Probationary Officer

Canara Bank is one of the largest public sector banks owned by the Government of India. It is headquartered in Bengaluru. It was established at Mangalore in 1906 by Ammembal Subba Rao Pai. It is one of the oldest public sector banks in the country. The government nationalized the bank in 1969. As of 30 October 2017, the bank had a network of 6639 branches and more than 10600 ATMs spread across all over India. The bank also has offices abroad in London, Hong Kong, Moscow, Shanghai, Doha, Bahrain, South Africa, Dubai, Tanzania and New York.

Canara Bank PO 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Overall, there are 2 criteria on which the eligibility of a candidate is judged for Canara Bank PO 2018 exam - Education and Age. Candidates need to qualify the following eligibility standards to apply for this Canara Bank PO exam.

  1. Age Limit (as on 1st October 2018)
    • Minimum Age: 20 years
    • Maximum Age: 30 Years
    • Age Relaxation
      • SC/ST – 5 years
      • OBC (Non-creamy layer) – 3 years
      • PWD – 10 years
      • Ex-servicemen – 5 years
  2. Educational Qualification
  • You should have a Degree in any discipline (with a minimum of 60% marks for General/OBC & 55% for SC/ST/PWBD) from the Central Government recognized university.
  • You must also have operating & working knowledge in computer systems which you should either possess or acquire within 6 months from the date of joining the Bank
  • You should also have knowledge of Hindi before applying or completion of the course.
