Syllabus for NABARD Prelims Exam 2017

1. English Syllabus for NABARD

(1) Reading Comprehension

Expected No. of Qs: 10-15

Expected Topics: The passage will be focused on topics like Banking & Economy, Business, Social Issues etc. Questions will be based on Fact and Inference, Vocab & Theme, Antonyms & Synonyms etc.

 (2) Error Spotting, Phrase Replacement

Expected No. of Qs: 5-10

Expected Topics: Error Spotting, Phrase Replacement/ Sentence Correction.

 (3) Cloze Test

Expected No. of Qs: 8-10

Expected Topics: We were given a single passage with some blanks. You have to choose the correct option that fit in the blank & goes with the rhythm of the passage.

 (4) Para Jumbles

Expected No. of Qs: 5

Expected Topics: Arrange the sentences in a proper order so it forms a meaningful paragraph, find the odd sentence.

2. Reasoning Syllabus for NABARD

(1) Syllogisms

Expected No. of Qs: 2-3

Expected Topics: Direct questions with 2-3 statements & 2-3 conclusions, possibility based questions, negative information based questions.

 (2) Arrangement

Expected No. of Qs: 8-10 

Expected Topics: Uni & Bi-directional problems on linear, circular, square, rectangular, hexagonal tables, Matrix Arrangement. May be combined with other information to make it difficult.

 (3) Inequalities

Expected No. of Qs: 2-3

Expected Topics: Mathematical Inequalities, Coded Inequalities

 (4) Machine Input Output

Expected No. of Qs: 3-5

Expected Topics: Pattern based on shifting, arrangement, mathematical operation, miscellaneous approach or other patterns.

 (5) Comparison

Expected No. of Qs: 1-2

Expected Topics: Arranging by order & ranking, ages, height, weight etc.

 (6) Data Sufficiency

Expected No. of Qs: 1-2

Expected Topics: Questions based on Blood Relations, Coding decoding, Circular Arrangements, Directions & Distances, Ages & Birthdates.

3. Quants Syllabus for NABARD

(1) Data Interpretation

Expected No. of Qs: 8-10

Expected Topics: Line Graphs, Bar Graphs, Pie Charts, Tables, Miscellaneous Infographics, Missing Data Type Caselets.

 (2) Mensuration

Expected No. of Qs: 2-3

Expected Topics: Area/Volume of Square, Rectangle, Trapezium, Parallelogram, Rhombus, Circle, Semicircle, Triangle, Cone, Cylinder, Cube, Cuboid. Also, Moulding from one shape to another etc.

 (3) Number Series

Expected No. of Qs: 2-3

Expected Topics: Complete the Series, Find the Missing Term, Find the Wrong Term etc.

 (4) Miscellaneous Questions

Expected No. of Qs: 8-10

Expected Topics: Average, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion, Time Speed Distance, Boat & Stream, Profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Time & Work, Problems on Age, Probability, Permutation & Combination, etc.

4. Computer Awareness Syllabus for NABARD

This section is for 20 Marks. If you have a basic knowledge of computer & use computer in your daily life then you can easily get the good score. To prepare for computer knowledge just go through the topics like Internet, Memory, Keyword Shortcuts, Computer Abbreviations, Microsoft Office, Computer Hardware & Software, Operating Systems, Networking, Computer Fundamental Technologies etc.

5. General Awareness Syllabus for NABARD

This section is for 20 Marks. Basically, the current affair of last six months is asked. Some of the questions are also asked from banking & financial awareness, static G.K parts. So keep yourself updated with the surrounding for latest events taking place.

6. Economic and Social Issues Syllabus for NABARD

This section is for 40 Marks. Most of the questions in this section are based the Government schemes, economic policies and banking.

7. Agriculture and Rural Development Syllabus for NABARD

This section is for 40 Marks. Most of the questions in the section are based on the Central Government policies for agriculture and rural development.
