Pallavan Grama Bank, Sponsored by Indian Bank was formed on 31-08-2006 by amalgamation of erstwhile Adhiyaman Grama Bank, Dharmapuri & Vallalar Grama Bank, Cuddalore as per GOI Gazatte Notification dated 31-08-2006.

Prior to amalgamation, Adhiyaman Grama Bank with its Headquarters at Dharmapuri was functioning in two districts viz. Dharmapuri & Krishnagiri and Vallalar Grama Bank with its Headquarters at Cuddalore was functioning in two districts viz. Cuddalore and Villupuram After amalgamation, the Bank has been allotted additional 11 Districts viz., Coimbatore, ( Tiruppur. ) Erode, Kancheepuram, Karur, Namakkal, Nilgiris, Salem, Thiruvallur, Thiruvannamalai and Vellore taking the total number of districts to 15.

The institute of Banking Personal Selection (IBPS) has published the recruitment notification for the post of  Office Assistant under Pallavan Grama Banks in different states. IBPS RRB Office Assistant 2017 Eligibility Criteria:

Nationality / Citizenship: A candidates should be have citizenship as follows:

  1. Citizen of Indian
  2. Citizen of Nepal
  3. Citizen of Bhutan
  4. A Tibetan refugee

Migrated Peoples from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Education Qualification:

The aspirants must have degree in any discipline from a government recognized University. Also candidate should have proficiency in local language as per rule and should have basic Knowledge of Computer skills.

Age Limit: 

  1. For General Candidate lower age limit is 18 and upper age limit is 28 years.
  2. For OBC candidates, lower age limit is 18 and upper age limit is 31 years.
  3. For SC & ST candidates, the upper age limit is 33 years

Age Relaxation: The age relaxation is applicable as per the government rules on the reserved categories.
