VGB has been established on 30.06.2006 with the amalgamation of erstwhile Santhal Parganas Gramin Bank and erstwhile Palamau Kshetriya Gramin Bank in terms of provisions of RRBs Act 1976. This bank is sponsored by State Bank of India & Owned by Govt. of India, Govt. of Jharkhand and State Bank of India.The Bank is operating in 9 districts of Jharkhand State with its Head Office at Dumka (sub-capital of Jharkhand State). It has four Regional Offices functioning at Deoghar, Godda, Daltonganj and Garhwa.

IBPS RRB Office Assistant 2017 Eligibility Criteria:

Nationality / Citizenship: A candidates should be have citizenship as follows:

Citizen of Indian
Citizen of Nepal
Citizen of Bhutan
A Tibetan refugee

Migrated Peoples from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Education Qualification:

The aspirants must have degree in any discipline from a government recognized University. Also candidate should have proficiency in local language as per rule and should have basic Knowledge of Computer skills.

Age Limit:

For General Candidate lower age limit is 18 and upper age limit is 28 years.
For OBC candidates, lower age limit is 18 and upper age limit is 31 years.
For SC & ST candidates, the upper age limit is 33 years

Age Relaxation: The age relaxation is applicable as per the government rules on the reserved categories.
