Govind Ballabh Pant University Of Agriculture and Technology ( GBPUAT ) Entrance Examination

Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar was established in 1960 by an Act of the State Legislature of Uttar Pradesh ( XLV of 1958 ) in the Tarai region of Uttar Pradesh (now Uttarakhand). It was dedicated to the nation on 17th November 1960 by the First Prime Minister of India, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru. Applications are invited for Entrance Examination-2015 for admission to Undergraduate, Masters’, MCA (except M.Tech.) and Ph.D. programmes of the University from the Bonafide residents of Uttarakhand. The admission to M.Tech. programmes will be done on the basis of GATE score and B.Tech. merit. Candidate from other states may apply for admission to M.C.A., M.Tech. and Ph.D. Programmes only. The Wards of Kashmiri Migrants and J & K Residents may apply for admission to Undergraduate Programmes only.

Govind Ballabh Pant University Of Agriculture & Technology ( GBPUAT ) Entrance Examination Counselling details – 2015:

For Undergraduate and Masters’ Programmes / MCA Program:

Qualified candidates, as per merit, shall be called for counselling on a specified date and time for consideration of admission to various Undergraduate, Masters’, MCA and Ph.D. programmes.

The counselling will continue till the last seat in each programme is filled-up. Merit list will be uploaded on the University website ( www.gbpuat.ac.in ).

The candidates are advised to see regularly the website of the University for counselling dates. No separate letter will be sent to the candidates. Counselling schedule will be notified in the newspapers.

Candidates seeking admission to M.Tech. programmes based on OGPA / percentage of marks of B.Tech. will be called in II counselling only. The candidate seeking admission based on OGPA / percentage of marks of B.Tech. must submit their final year mark sheet by 26-7-2015 failing which their application will not be considered.

No letter, fax or telegram enquiring about the result of the Entrance Examination will be entertained.

The candidates will have to report at the counselling place as per schedule given in counselling letter for checking of relevant documents and depositing prescribed fee.

The candidates coming for personal appearance should bring along with them the following documents for checking and depositing before counselling:

Self Attested photocopies of High School Certificate and Marks-Sheet along with the originals.

Self Attested photocopies of Intermediate Certificate and Marks-Sheet along with the originals.

Self Attested photocopies of Marks-Sheet and Certificate of any other higher degree qualifications that he / she may possess along with the originals.

Domicile Certificate of Uttarakhand State issued by the competent authority after 20 Nov. 2001.

Character and Conduct Certificate in original from the Head of the Institution last attended.

Five-passport size photographs with name and Roll Number written on the back.

Original copy of Category Certificate issued after 20 Nov. 2001. In case of OBC category, the OBC Certificate issued after 31.03.2015 must be submitted in original on the prescribed proforma given in the Prospectus 2015-16.

Solemn Voluntary declaration form.

A Gap Certificate accounting for discontinuity of more than three months after leaving the Institution last attended.

The Migration / Transfer Certificate in original to be submitted within three months of the admission.

On the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court an affidavit duly signed by the candidate and his / her parents / guardian for non-participation in ragging on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 10.00 duly notarized

Medical fitness certificate in the prescribed format.

Note:

Candidates seeking admission to Masters’ and Ph.D. programmes must submit final year Mark Sheet / PDC ( indicating percentage of marks ) at the time of counselling. Without the above documents they will not be allowed to appear before Admission Committee.

Candidate not fulfilling the eligibility condition(s) at the time of Counselling and not declared medically fit will not be granted admission.

If any candidate fails to deposit counselling & an Advance fee and original certificates, the admission would not be granted and he / she would forfeit his / her claim for admission.

The candidate once admitted in a programme as per his / her merit on availability of seat at the time of counselling will not stake any claim for change of programme after counselling is over.
