The Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur, a premier institution of undergraduate, postgraduate teaching and researchin the country, was established by an Act of Legislative Assembly (Act No. 16 of 2010) on July 30,2010 as a State Government University of Himachal Pradesh.

The University will conduct the HPCET-2015 for admission to B.Tech./ B.Pharmacy / B.Pharmacy ( Ayurveda ),M. Tech, M.Pharmacy, MCA and MBA being offered by HimTU and colleges affiliated to it, deemed to be University, orother Universities established under the State Act or Constituent units thereto.The admission to all courses shall be made on the basis of merit or rank/marks obtained in the National Level Entrance Test subject to fulfillment of minimum educational qualification. However after exhausting the merit of National Level Entrance Test, the admission to all courses shall be made on the basis of merit of marks obtained in HPCET-2015.

For MBA, MCA, B. Tech ( Direct Entry ),B. Pharmacy and B. Pharmacy, ( Ayurveda ), M. Tech ,M. Pharmacy

Admission to the above programmes will be made strictly on the basis of merit or rank / marks obtained in the National Level Entrance Test / HPCET-2015 subject to fulfillment of minimum educational qualification.

The Merit / Score of the HPCET-2015 shall be considered only after exhausting Merit / Score of respective National Level Entrance Test.

For MBA

Merit Score of National Level Entrance Test i.e. CMAT, CAT, MAT-AIMA etc. or HPCET-2015 conducted by HP Technical University

For MCA HPCET-2015 conducted by HP Technical University:

For B. Tech ( Direct Entry )

JEE ( Main )-2015 conducted by CBSE or HPCET- 2015 conducted by HP Technical University.

For B. Pharmacy B. Pharmacy ( Ayurveda ):

HPCET-2015 conducted by HP Technical University

M. Tech

GATE or HPCET-2015 conducted by HP Technical University

M. Pharmacy

GPAT or HPCET-2015 conducted by HP Technical University
