Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test ( TANCET )

Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) is a state-level examination, conducted by Anna University for the admission to post-graduation programmes like M.Tech, MBA, MCA and M.Arch in various colleges/institutes of Tamil Nadu. All the interested candidates must check their eligibility before applying online for TANCET 2019. Candidates belonging to other states can also apply for TANCET 2019 but the eligibility criteria for that will be decided by the exam conducting authorities. Also, the eligibility criteria vary for each programme. To get admission through TANCET 2019, candidates have to appear for a written test which will be conducted in offline mode at various centres across Tamil Nadu.

All the candidates appearing for TANCET 2019 are advised to prepare well for the state-level entrance exam. To do so, they must go through the exam pattern and syllabus of their selected fields. They must make a timetable and spend equal time on all the subjects. Do not leave anything for the last minute as it will only increase your stress level. While preparation, keep the following points in mind,

  • Solve sample papers – Solving sample papers will give you an overall idea about the paper pattern and types of questions asked in the exam. 
  • Take mock tests – The Mock test will help you to increase the speed and finish the exam on time. Start solving mock test at each stage of preparation. Do not leave that for last minute. 
  • Revision – Spare the last few months before the exam for revision. Go through all the sections and sub-sections and work on your basics. Do not go for any complicated topics. 
  • Take breaks and sleep properly – Do not forget to take breaks and sleep for at least 7 to 8 hours. This will help you to understand things better and give your mind time to settle down all the information.
