BITS Mersa 2021 PG-Counselling Procedure

Birla Institute of Technology ( BIT Mesra ) PG Entrance Examination Counselling Details-2015 :

For M.E., M.Pharm, M.Tech, Master of Urban Planning & M.Sc. Programmes :

The Institute offers the following postgraduate programmes at Mesra and its Off Campuses located in India at Allahabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lalpur( Ranchi City ), Noida and Patna. Candidates admitted in M.E. / M.Tech / MUP with valid GATE 2014 or GATE 2015 and M.Pharm with valid GPAT 2014 or GPAT 2015 score will be considered.

Non-GATE candidates will be on the basis of written test, previous academic record and personal interviews conducted by concerned Off Campuses.

Expected Dates of tests / interviews / counselling for all programmes:

Interview / counselling schedules and details of tests (wherever applicable) for the above programmes will be announced by 10^th June 2015, only on the Institute website and Notice Boards of the Institute at BIT Mesra and its other Campuses. Candidates must visit our website periodically for updates and any other matter related to the admission procedures. No individual intimations will be sent to candidates.

The written tests ( wherever applicable) and counselling / interviews of eligible candidates will be held tentatively between 22-26 June 2015.

Counselling Held Place :

M.E. - ECE (Wireless Communication) - The written test and interview / Counselling will be held at BIT Mesra, BIT Kolkata & BIT Patna Campuses, based on candidate’s first choice of Place for Study.

M.Tech ( Computer Science & Engineering )-The written test and interview / Counselling will be held at BIT Mesra, BIT Allahabad, BIT Kolkata, BIT Noida & BIT Patna campuses, based on candidate’s first choice of Place for Study.

M.Tech ( Biotechnology )-The written test and interview / Counselling will be held at BIT Mesra and BIT Kolkata campuses, based on candidate’s first choice of Place for Study.

M.Sc. ( Information Technology )-The Counselling will be held at BIT Lalpur Campus only.

Required Documents For Counselling / Interview :

Candidates must carry the originals of the following documents at the time of reporting for counselling / interviews and admission, as well as one set of photocopies:

1. Pass certificate of Class 10 for proof of age
2. Mark sheet of Class 10
3. Mark sheet of Class 12 / Intermediate or equivalent
4. Certificates and mark sheets of Graduation / qualifying examination OR
5. Mark sheets up to pre-final year for appearing candidates of graduation / qualifying examination in 2015. They must bring a certificate in original from the Principal of Institute stating that: a). by 30 June 2015, (s)/he will have appeared for examination in all subjects required for obtaining his/her qualifying degree. b). (s)/he has obtained requisite marks or equivalent based on latest available grades / marks.
6. Candidates with qualifications acquired through correspondence or distance learning programmes must carry proof of pass certificate, mark sheets of qualifying examination and approval of DEC (Distance Education Council ).
7. GATE 2014/2015 admit card and GATE 2014 / GATE 2015 Score card for M.E. / M.Tech and MUP programmes (if applicable).
8. GPAT 2014/2015 admit card and GPAT 2014 / GPAT 2015 Score card for M.Pharm programme (if applicable)
9. Caste certificate / special category certificate (if applicable).
10. One passport size photograph, identical to the photograph affixed in the application form.
11. Photo identification: ( Driving license, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, College ID, Employee Identification Card are acceptable ).

They should also carry a photocopy of their duly completed form.
