Joint Entrance Examination ( Advanced )

The Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced), popularly known as JEE Advanced, is the second stage of the IIT JEE exams. Every year, the exam is conducted by one of seven Zonal IITs on behalf of JAB (Joint Admission Board). While IIT Kanpur organized the JEE Advanced 2018, IIT Roorkee is in discussion to administer the JEE Advanced 2019. Qualifying both JEE Main and Advanced candidates will get admission into the elite IITs and pursue B.Tech (4 years), BS (4 years), B. Pharm (4 years), Integrated M.Tech (5 years), Integrated M.Sc (5 years), B.Arch (5 years), Dual Degree B.Pharm-M.Sc (5 years), Dual Degree B.Tech-M.Tech (5 years) and Dual Degree BS-MS (5 years) in Engineering, Science, Architecture and Pharmaceuticals.

JEE Advanced 2021 Eligibility Criteria

JEE Advanced 2019 Eligibility:

  • IIT Admission: Candidates should not have been admitted into the IITs earlier, neither should have accepted its offers. If the aspirants have enrolled in any IIT programme and have discontinued soon after, they will not be considered eligible for the exam.
  • Qualifying Exam: The candidates who qualify the JEE Main 2019 or those who find a place in the top 2,24,000 are eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced exam 2019.
  • Maximum Attempts: Maximum two attempts that too in two consecutive years.
  • Academic Qualification: An applicant should have passed the 12th standard. The exam qualifying year should be 2018 or 2019.
  • Age Limit: The General category candidates should have been born on or after 1st October 1994. Considering the 5 years age relaxation for the reserved category candidates, they should have been born on or after 1st October 1989.
