Mizoram University was est. as a Central University by an Act of Parliament of India on 25th Apr 2000 and started functioning from 2nd July 2001. Prior to this, the University inherited from North-Eastern Hill University ( NEHU ) had functioned as Mizoram Campus for 24 year since 1979.

Mizoram University has started the process of admission to B.Tech Courses for the year 2014. Admission to the B.Tech course in Mizoram University will be made based on a written entrance examination popularly known as MZUEEE 2014 ( Mizoram University Engineering Entrance Examination 2014 ).

MUEEE Eligibility Criteria:

For B. Tech

A candidate who has passed the higher secondary or 10+2 ( Class XII ) examination or its equivalent from any recognized board having secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics ( relaxable by 5% for SC / ST candidates ) shall be eligible for admission in B.Tech

Those appearing in the higher secondary or 10+2 ( Class XII ) final or equivalent examination in 2014 may also appear in MZUEEE-2014 provisionally

Age Limit:

Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1989 are eligible. However, in the case of Scheduled Caste ( SC ), Scheduled Tribe ( ST ) and Persons with Disabilities ( PWD ) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years,

i.e. SC, ST and PWD candidates who were born on or after October 01, 1984 are eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board / University certificate only will be taken as authentic.

For B. Tech Lateral Entry Eligibility Criteria :

3 year diploma holder in engineering in relevant branch with a minimum of 60% marks may apply for lateral entry. Those appearing in the final examination in 2014 may also appear in MZUEEE 2014 provisionally.
