Engineering | Nagaland University | Eligibility Criteria

Nagaland University, Nagaland was established in 1994 under the Nagaland University Act 1989 of the Parliament. This is the only Central University operating in the State. The University has three campuses Lumami, Kohima and Medziphema. Lumami is the main campus and headquarter of the University. Each University campus has its separate administrative and academic unit. The University has 26 departments for providing education and training in different study areas like Humanities, sciences, commerce etc.

The University Grants Commission ( UGC ) of India has given affiliating university status to Nagaland University. The university aims to disseminate knowledge for the empowerment of the citizens of Nagaland and upliftment of their socio economic and cultural scenario. The University offers Undergraduate and Post graduate Courses.

Nagaland University Engineering Entrance Examination Eligibility Criteria – 2014

Eligibility criteria for Regular B. Tech course ( Four years ):

1. Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination from any recognized Central / State Board of Secondary Examinations or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of the subject (Chemistry / Biotechnology / Computer Science / Biology) are eligible for admission in 4 Years B. Tech Programme with minimum 50% marks for General Category and 45% marks in case of SC / ST Category.

2. Candidate with valid JEE ( main ) score may apply directly by obtaining the admission form.

3. Candidate without valid JEE ( main ) score must appear for the SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY ENTRANCE EXAMINATION ( SETEE ) 2014 against vacant seats.

Eligibility criteria for Lateral Entry B.Tech course ( Three years ): ( three seats per department )

1. Candidate must have three years Diploma / B. Sc degree relevant to subject offered with minimum 50% marks for General Category and 45% marks in case of SC / ST Category. Candidate must appear for SETEE.
