University of Petroleum & Enenrgy Studies Entrance & Admission Test ( UPESEAT )

University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) conducts a university level entrance examination in every year, in order to select the best candidates from India for admission to their various B- Tech programmes. The entrance examination is commonly known as University of Petroleum and Energy Studies Engineering Aptitude Test (UPESEAT). There are 37 various streams are provided under Bachelor of Technology programme. UPES selects the candidates based on their performance on any of the following national level examination such as JEE Main or Board Merit or UPESEAT. 80% of the seats are allocated for UPESEAT rank holders, while 10% of seats are allocated for each JEE main and Merit Board rank holders.

UPESEAT 2021 Counselling Procedure

UPESEAT Counselling 2018:

  1. The Counselling of UPESEAT will be conducted in the third week of June 2018.
  2. UPES will conduct the Counselling for candidates who have applied for admission through UPESEAT 2018, Board merit and for students who qualified the entrance test.
  3. UPESEAT counselling is likely to be conducted in Dehradun, Lucknow, Patna and Delhi.
  4. Eligible candidates have to attend the counselling in person at the given venue on the allotted day and time.
  5. Candidates have to submit all the required documents for verification at the time of counselling.
  6. UPES will grant admissions up to 80% of the total seats on the basis of UPESEAT 2018 result.
  7. While the remaining 20% of the seats will be filled on the basis of the candidates’ respective Board Merit or UPESEAT score.
