University of Delhi ( DU )

The University of Delhi is the premier university of the country and is known for its high standards in teaching and research and attracts eminent scholars to its faculty. It was established in 1922 as a unitary, teaching and residential university by an Act of the then Central Legislative Assembly. The President of India is the Visitor, the Vice President is the Chancellor and the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India is the Pro-Chancellor of the University.

Delhi University has announced the entrance test dates for admission to its LL.B ( Bachelor of Law ) and LL.M ( Master of Law ) .Delhi University has decided to introduce four-year degree courses from the coming academic session  According to sources, university authorities are seriously mulling to bring some major changes in the admission process of the university. The DU administration is also working on various options which include starting new entrance exams for various undergraduate courses.

DU 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Delhi University ( DU )  Law Entrance Examination Eligibility Criteria – 2014

For LLB Course:

For general and other backward classes ( OBC ) candidates, graduate /  post-graduate degree from the university of Delhi or any other Indian or foreign university recognized as equivalent by the University of Delhi with at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade point in the aggregate in either of them

However, the cut off marks for admission of OBC candidates shall be up to 10% less than the marks notified for general candidates in the entrance test

Relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum eligibility prescribed for general candidates will be allowed to other backward classes ( OBC ) category

Relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum eligibility prescribed for general candidates will be allowed to widows / wards of defence personnel .

For LL. M Course:

For general category and other backward classes ( OBC ) candidates, a three-year / five-year LLB degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or foreign university recognised as equivalent by the University of Delhi with at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade point in the aggregate.

However, the cut off marks for admission of OBC candidates shall be up to 10% less than the marks notified for general candidates in the entrance test

The candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe ( SC / ST) having a three year / five-year LLB degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or foreign University recognized as equivalent by the University of Delhi with at least 45% marks or an equivalent grade point in the aggregate in either of them

Relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum eligibility prescribed for general candidates will be allowed to widows / wards of ex-servicemen / serving personnel (CW) category.
