The Kurukshetra University was established in 1956 as a unitary residential University and its foundation stone was laid by late Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India. Located in the holy city of Kurukshetra, land of the historical battle of 'Mahabharata' and the great message of Bhagwad Gita, its campus is situated on the western bank of Brahm Sarover (the holy tank) and extends over an area of over 400 acres. Starting with only the Department of Sanskrit, it has grown into a multi-faculty University as one of the premier centres for advanced study and research in the region.

Kurukshetra University ( KU ) Law Entrance Examination  Admission Procedure :

For B.A. LL.B.( Hons. ) ( 5 Yr. )  :

On the basis of Marks obtained in the Entrance Test. 

Minimum Eligibility: 30 marks ( for SC candidate of Haryana: 20 marks )

For LL.B. ( Professional )( 3 Yr )

On the basis of Marks obtained in the Entrance Test.

Admission Application Form for admission to various courses should reach in the office of the Chairperson /  Director of the Department / Institute concerned duly completed in all respects as listed in the Application Form by due date as per Table I. Before filling the Admission Application Form the candidates are required to read the Prospectus carefully.

A candidate can also submit his / her Admission Application Form in the concerned Department / Institute up to one day before the Entrance Test, and for the courses where there is no Entrance Test, up to one day before the display of 1st list of selected candidates with a late fee of Rs.200/- to be deposited in any CBS Branch of Punjab National Bank ( PNB ) in India or Oriental Bank of Commerce ( OBC ) on the University Campus or by Demand Draft ( DD ) in favour of Registrar, KUK. Such candidates will have to collect Admit Cards (only for Entrance Test based courses ) by hand from the concerned Department / Institute.

The Admission Application Form if sent by post must be sent through Registered / Speed Post and it will be the candidate’s responsibility to ensure that the Form reaches the office of the Chairperson / Director of the concerned Department / Institute by the scheduled date and time. Application Forms received after the last date & time will not be entertained and rejected summarily. The University shall not be responsible for postal or any other delay as well as loss of Application Form( s ) or document( s ) in transit.

The duly filled Admission Application Form along with all the required documents / Entrance Test Fee ( if required ), sent by post must bear clear address of the concerned Chairperson/Director, Department / Institute, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra - 136 119.

If the last date for receipt of Admission Application Form or last date for depositing the dues falls on a holiday, or that day is declared holiday by the University, the next working day will be considered as the last day for the purpose.

Entrance Test Fee:

Candidates must attach with the Admission Application Form DD of prescribed Entrance Test Fee as mentioned in Table I against course concerned for the courses in which Entrance Test is to be held. 

The fee can also be deposited in any CBS Branch of Punjab National Bank ( PNB ) in India or Oriental Bank of Commerce ( OBC ) on the University Campus and Bank Receipt must be attached with the Admission Form.
