The University of Allahabad, informally known also as Allahabad University is a public central university located in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. Established on September 23, 1887, it is the fourth oldest University in India. Its origins lie in the Muir Central College, named after Lt. Governor of North-Western Provinces, Sir William Muir in 1876, who suggested the idea of a Central University at Allahabad, which later evolved to the present university.

At one point it was called the "Oxford of the East", and on 24 June 2005 its Central University status was restored through the 'University Allahabad Act, 2005', of the Parliament of India.Allahabad university has conducted Entrance Examination for the admission of MBA Courses during the academic year 2015-16 and complete details about Admission process are mentioned below.

Allahabad University MBA Entrance Examination Test Centre – 2015

The written test shall be held at Allahabad and Delhi.

The candidate shall have the option to appear from any one of the specified centres.

In case the number of applicants opting for Delhi centre is less than 25, the Admission Committee shall have the right to cancel Delhi centre and direct the candidates to appear from the Allahabad centre.

The Oral tests ( Group Leadership / Personal Interview) for the short-listed candidates shall be conducted only at Allahabad.

The Candidates shall have to make their own arrangements for travel and stay for appearing in the written and oral tests and shall not be entitled to any TA / DA.
