Indian Institute of Banking and Finance ( IIBF ) Entrance Exam

Indian Institute of Banking & Finance ( IIBF ) is the largest Institute of its kind in the world to develop professionally qualified and competent bankers and finance professionals primarily through a process of education, training, examination, consultancy / counseling and continuing professional development programmes. IIBF offers Flagship Courses such as Junior Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers ( JAIIB ) and Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers ( CAIIB ) for the year 2015- 16. IIBF- 2015- 16 JAIIB and CAIIB Entrance Examination applying candidates shall attend either in English or Hindi. The complete details of IIBF- 2015 Entrance Examination described below.

IIBF 2021 Exam Pattern

Indian Institute of Banking & Finance ( IIBF ) Entrance Examination Pattern- 2015:

Junior Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers ( JAIIB )

Each Question Paper will contain approximately 120 objective type multiple choice questions, carrying 100 marks including questions based on case study / case lets. The Institute may, however, vary the number of questions to be asked for a subject.

There will NOT be negative marking for wrong answers.

Questions for the JAIIB Examination will be asked calling for:

a) Knowledge testing,

b) Conceptual grasp,

c) Analytical / logical exposition,

d) Problem solving,

e) Case analysis

Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers ( CAIIB )

Each Question Paper will contain approximately 100 objective type multiple choice questions, carrying 100 marks including questions based on case study / case lets.

There will NOT be negative marking for wrong answers.

Questions for the CAIIB Examination will be asked calling for:

a) Knowledge testing,

b) Conceptual grasp,

c) Analytical / logical exposition,

d) Problem solving,

e) Case analysis

Further, questions based on current developments in banking and finance may be asked. Candidates are advised to refer to financial news papers / periodicals more particularly "IIBF VISION" and "BANK QUEST" published by the Institute.

Passing Criteria for JAIIB / CAIIB:

Minimum marks for pass in every subject - 50 out of 100 marks.

Candidate securing at least 45 marks in each subject with an aggregate of 50% marks in all subjects of JAIIB / CAIIB examinations in a single attempt will also be declared as having passed JAIIB / CAIIB Examination.

Candidates will be allowed to retain credits for the subject/s they have passed in one attempt till the expiry of the time limit for passing the examination.

Medium of Exam for JAIIB / CAIIB

Candidates are allowed to attempt the examination either in Hindi or English, and should clearly fill in their choice of medium in the Examination Application Form. In any case change of medium will not be allowed at a later stage.

Mode of Exam for JAIIB / CAIIB

Examination will be conducted in Online Mode at majority of centres and under offline mode ( paper and pencil ) at selected centres as per the notification given on the web site in this regard.

Examination will be held on three consecutive Sundays ( one paper on each Sunday ).

The duration of the examination will be of 2 hours.
