The Sikkim Manipal University was established in 1995. It is the first government-private initiative in the region. SMU is recognized by the University Grants Commission and approved by the Government of India. It is the first ever Public Private Partnership (PPP) in the country for higher Education and Health Care services. MU-OET-2015 is the all India Entrance Exam for getting admission of UG & PG programmes in the Sikkim Manipal University for various department. Aspirants seeking admission in Sikkim Manipal University, Gangtok can apply through website. Candidates can apply for the MBA course in two ways through CAT / MAT Score, SMIT Entrance Test. The department offers MBA in Finance, HR, Marketing and Systems. Emphasis is on development of an all-round managerial perspective. Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the academic year-2015.

General: 48 seats

12 seats are reserved for applicants who have passed BBA from SMU ( regular course ).

5% of the seats may be allotted to NRI candidates.

Sikkim: 12 seats.

Candidates seeking admission under this category should contact Director Technical Education, HRDD, Government of Sikkim.

Admission under this category will be given after screening of candidates by SMU. If the candidate himself / herself is not an NRI, then he / she may be sponsored by his/her father, mother, brother, sister, uncle or aunt, grandparent who must be an NRI.

PIO/ Foreign Nationals/Indian Workers in Gulf Countries: 18 seats ( supernumerary ).

Candidates qualifying from Foreign Universities are required to submit the equivalent grading / percentage of marks from AIU ( Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi )

Documents required to be submitted with application form ( under this category ) as given in official website.

Candidates from Bhutan and Nepal are also eligible to appear in the entrance examination.

If they are selected on the basis of merit, the admission will be given under general category.
