Counselling Schedule for the COMEDK UGET Medical Entrance Examination- 2015

COMEDK UGET 2015 Counseling shall be conducted by Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges, Karnataka otherwise known as COMEDK in the month of July 2015 for all those candidates who get selected in the merit list and are assigned a valid rank. All the candidates who attempt the exam would be able to participate in the counselling and seat allotment process. They would be called to mark the options of colleges and courses as per their priority. The following article mentions complete information on counselling and related aspects.

COMEDK UGET 2015 Counseling and Allotment – Stages

COMEDK UGET- 2015 Counseling will be held from a centralized single window which will comprise of two rounds, called as phase- 1 and phase- 2. It is multistep process which involves several stages.

1. Counseling registration
2. Choice filling
3. Choice locking
4. Choice freezing
5. Seat allotment
6. Upgrades and withdrawals
7. Reporting at RC for confirmation of seat
8. Document verification
9. Confirmation of seat by paying necessary fee

COMEDK- 2015 Counselling Factors involved:

Candidates shall be allotted seats in the colleges affiliated to COMEDK based on these factors:

1. Merit list ranking
2. Availability of seat in particular college
3. Availability of seat in particular course
4. Total seats available
5. Number of candidates per seat ratio
6. Reservation norms

COMEDK- 2015 Counselling Features of the process

Phase- 1 of counselling will be held in first week of July 2015.

Counselling shall be done as per the rank assigned to the candidates.

They would be called in that particular order of rank.

It is necessary to attend the counselling in person.

Candidates shall be authenticated with biometric verification, thumb print, photo and sign checking.

Along with the candidate, only one parent or guardian is allowed to participate.

Candidate must bring all the documents pertaining to the COMEDK UGET- 2015 Counselling.

He must also bring anyone of the following government approved photo IDs: passport, driving license, voter ID, pan card, aadhar card, bank passbook.

Only original documents and certificates are allowed.

Phase- 2 counseling shall be conducted in the latter half of July 2015.

Step- 1: Document Verification

Before registering for counseling, candidates have to get their documents checked at the counter. It is required to produce originals with one set of photocopy. These copies must be attested. You are instructed to bring the following IDs:

Any one of the following govt. approved photo ID: passport, voter id, driving license, bank pass book, class- XII exam hall ticket, school identity card, aadhar card.

School leaving certificate

Marks sheet of Class- XII or 2nd PUC or an equivalent exam

COMEDK UGET- 2015 Admit Card ( Test Admission Ticket or TAT )

Crossed Demand Draft for Rs.50,000 drawn on any Nationalized banks in favor of “COMEDK‟ payable at Bangalore ( will be adjusted from the annual fees of Rs.1,37,500 during admissions )

COMEDK UGET- 2015 Rank Card

Class- X or equivalent exam certificate

Category certificates.

It must be noted that candidates must write COMEDK UGET- 2015 TAT, name and contact details on the backside of DD. You have to keep a copy of the same safe for future references.

Step- 2: Registration for Counselling

To participate, candidates have to register themselves for the COMEDK UGET- 2015 Counseling.

They will be under following activities: Biometric Verification, Signature Verification, Online Photo Capturing and Verification.

Once they are successfully registered, they will be provided a slip.

Fill the DD details and colleges of course and college as per priority.

Step- 3: Option Choice Exercise

A merit list will be issued for each session according to the vacancy at that time.

Candidates can check the course wise and college wise availability of seat on the large dynamic screen.

They can also mark the choices for colleges and courses.

Step- 4: Seat Allotment

Candidates shall be allotted seats once they are selected as per choice, availability and ranking.

Once the seat is confirmed, candidate will be given a provisional allotment letter.

They must confirm the allotment by paying Rs.50000 at the counter itself.

A fee receipt will be provided after COMEDK UGET- 2015 Seat Allotment is confirmed.

Step- 5: Reporting and Admission

Candidate has to report to the college for admission confirmation with all the necessary details and COMEDK- 2015 Allotment Letter.

If there are vacancies at the end of second round of counseling, a separate extended COMEDK UGET- 2015 Counselling round might be held in September 2015.

COMEDK UGET- 2015 Counseling- SC / ST / OBC Candidates

Candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC category are eligible for admission, lower eligibility and seat selection if they provide the following documents in proper format.

SC / ST: Certificate issued by competent authority ( Authorized to issue such a certificate, but not below the rank of a Tahsildar ) valid for the year of admission ( namely 2015 ).

Minority Applicants: Minority applicants -Religious ( Christian ), Linguistics ( Telugu / Tulu / Konkani ) shall produce certificate.

OBC: Caste and income certificate issued by Tahsildar or higher revenue jurisdictional authority authorized to issue such certificate valid only for the year of admission ( namely 2015 )

Important Instructions for COMEDK UGET- 2015 Counseling:

Candidates must note that any DD drawn from bank not listed in the above article will not be accepted.

DD must mention TAT number, otherwise it would be treated as blank.

A candidate must produce a domicile certificate as proof of resident of Karnataka state ( either of the candidates of his / her parents ) issued by relevant competent authority.

If a candidate chooses to produce a domicile certificate, he must submit a proof of his mother or father having studied in the state of Karnataka for seven continuous years as well.
