Diplomate of National Board Centralized Entrance Test

The Government of India established the National Board of Examinations ( NBE ) in 1975 with the objective of improving the quality of the Medical Education by establishing high and uniform standards of postgraduate examinations in modern medicine on an all India basis and utilizing existing infrastructure for capacity building. NBE conducts postgraduate and postdoctoral examinations in approved specialties leading to the award of Diplomate of National Board. NBE DNB- CET – 2015 Entrance Examination applying candidates should have completed MBBS degree / Provisional Pass Certificate and have completed one year of internship / likely to complete on or before 31 January 2015. The complete DNB- CET – 2015 Entrance Examination process is as follows.

Diplomate of National Board Centralized Entrance Test ( DNB – CET ) Entrance Examination Admit Card- 2015

The examination shall be conducted from 27 November 2014 to 29th November 2014, which is referred to as the testing window.

Candidates will be required to provide 3 choices of preferred location where they are willing to take the test. Test centre shall be allotted to the candidates as per automated selection by the software.

Candidates may note that each candidate will be required to appear only once during the testing window, in the session allocated i.e. either Forenoon or Afternoon on the particular date.

Requests for change of centre are not entertained.

Candidates are advised not to canvass for the same.

At the end of Registration, the applicant will get a computer generated acknowledgment at the registered e-mail ID of the applicant. Admit card will be issued to candidate once test centre has been allotted to the candidate.

Candidate is required to print a copy of admit card and affix a latest passport size photograph of the following specifications on the admit card.

Candidate is required to bring the admit card to the Test centre along with an identification document as per below.

Candidates MUST bring to the test centre the following documents. Unfair means case shall be registered against the candidates submitting false / forged documents:

1. Printed copy of the Admit Card with photo pasted on it. AND

2. Photocopy of Permanent or Provisional SMC / MCI registration*, to be retained by the test centre AND

3. Any one of the following authorised photo IDs** ( must be original and non-expired ):

• PAN Card

• Driving License

• Voter ID

• Passport

*Candidates who have obtained their Primary Medical Qualification outside India and do not have SMC / MCI registration should bring their original screening test pass certificate issued on NBE letterhead.

** The name on photo identification must match the name as shown on candidate Admit Card. If the name has been changed due to events such as marriage, candidate must show the relevant document mentioned below at the time of the test.

• Marriage Certificate

• Divorce Decree

• Legal Name Change Document

Candidates reporting late or beyond the prescribed time shall not be allowed to appear in the test.

Demo test to provide candidates with the feel and functionality of the actual test is available on DNB- CET website www.natboard.edu.in/CET.

Candidates registered for DNB-CET can undertake the demo test prior to the actual test window. Candidates are advised to go through the demo test carefully to familiarize themselves with the screens, layout and navigation.
