Every year Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) conducts the JIPMER Nursing entrance exam for providing admission to nursing courses. The entrance exam is the gateway for admission to 75 seats in B.Sc Nursing, 25 seats in M.Sc Nursing and 50 seats in Post Basic Diploma in Nursing at JIPMER. JIPMER Nursing 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria:
Students can check here the eligibility criteria for the entrance examination:

  • Nationality: A student must be an Indian National.
  • Age Criteria: Student must complete the 17 years of age as on 31st December 2018.

For B.SC Nursing:

  • Qualifying Exam: Passed Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination.
  • Subjects: Candidates must be passed the 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology) with English as a compulsory subject.
  • Minimum Marks: Student must pass all the subjects individually and obtain 50% marks taken together in PCB. For reserved category, the requisite marks are 40% marks and for OPH candidates, the marks should be 45%.
  • Appearing Candidates: Appearing candidates can also apply.
  • Candidates who are studying/have studied Medical Laboratory Assistant in the Vocational Stream will not be considered for B.Sc. (Nursing) course.
