Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences ( LLRUVAS )

Lala Lajpat Rai, popularly known as “Punjab Kesri”, did his early legal practice at Hisar and also served as a Member and Secretary of the Hisar Municipality. The College of Veterinary Sciences and the College of Animal Sciences, earlier the constituent colleges of CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar has now been incorporated in this newly established University.

The college of Animal Sciences is merged into College of Veterinary Sciences. The College has a glorious history of more than 60 years, since it was shifted to Hisar from Lahore ( Pakistan ). It is backed by an enviable tract record of academic excellence, cutting edge research and rendering quality services to the livestock of the state. An extensive network of alumni occupying important positions throughout the world is a source of inspiration, enthusiasm and commitment to hard work for the faculty and students. LLRUVAS 2021 Scholarships

Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences ( LLRUVAS ) Medical Entrance Examination Scholarship – 2015 :

For B.V.Sc. & A.H Courses

The Scholarship / Stipend will not be awarded to a Haryana Resident of either sex admitted against Migration / VCI / NRI seat.

Scholarship for UG students

The scholarships / stipends shall be awarded to the B.V.Sc. & A.H. students admitted against Haryana Resident seats only and their merit will be prepared on the basis of the merit of the Entrance Test.

The University awards merit scholarship of Rs.800/- per month to a student as prescribed for Haryana resident only.

This scholarship is, however, offered to only 25% of those students who have been admitted against the Haryana Resident seats.

The amount of scholarship will be Rs.1200/- per month if the recipient is a girl student.

If an occasion arises for re-award of scholarships, the number of scholarships is determined by the strength of the class at the time of re-award.

After award of scholarships, when the fraction is half or more than half, it is to be taken as one for the purpose of award of scholarship.

ICAR Scholarship

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research awards National Talent Scholarship @ Rs.1000/- per month on merit for UG students only, based on the Entrance Test on All India basis conducted by ICAR, provided the candidate opts to pursue studies in any State Agricultural / Veterinary University located outside the state of his / her domicile and subject to other rules and regulations of ICAR.

Financial assistance is also granted to the needy students out of Students Aid Fund for purchase of books or payment of fees etc.

The Prospectus provides only general informations about various programmes offered. Detailed rules on all aspects are available in the University Calendar Vol. II of CCS HAU ( applicable to LUVAS also ). The instructions issued from time to time will also be applicable, wherever necessary
