Maharishi Markendeshwar University PG ( MDS ) Entrance Examination Fees Structure– 2015

The annual tuition fee payable by the students of the MDS Course of general category is Rs. 6,85,000/-.

1.Fees will have to be deposited at the time of counselling.

2. There will be annual increase of 10% in the tuition fees.

3. The above rates of Gee for MDS Course are excluding one time Registration Fee of Rs. 40,000/- and university charges @ Rs. 26,500/- per year.

4.The students who will not be able to complete the MDS course within the prescribed period of 3 years will have to pay additional fee for the extended period.

5.The fee for Management & NRI Seats will, however, be notified later.

Note:

In case of refund admissible under the rules, a deduction of fees will be made as under:

1.Within 15 days of admission                             – 5%

2.Within 16-30 days of admission                      –  15%

3.After 30 days if Admission ( upto 15^th May )  – 30%

4. If a student, Admitted to the course, leaves the course at any time after 30^th May 2015 he / she shall be required to pay the full amount of Annual Fee for the remaining entire duration of the post – Graduate programme.

• The Fee will have to be deposited at the time of Counseling.
• BHM, B.Sc. (Hospitality), M.Sc. (Dietetics) and BHM-MBA (Integrated) and Diploma Courses in Hotel Management students are also required to pay Rs. 5,000/- as operational fee and Rs. 7,000/- as training & lab material fee per annum.
• Student fund for M.Sc. Nursing is Rs. 2,000/- p.a. and Rs. 1,500/- p.a. for other courses.
• University charges will be extra as per University norms.
• One time refundable College Caution Money is charged @ Rs. 2,000/- except in the case of M.Sc. Nursing for which it is charged @ Rs.5,000/-
• Fees once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances. However, the security will be refunded if claimed within one year of the completion of the course.
• BPT/MPT students are required to pay annual charges @ Rs.3, 000/- each.
• For MBBS course, the fee will be charged for 4.5 yrs.
• Two year diploma holder's seeking Admission to the MD/MS Course will have to pay tuition Fee @ 1.5 times of the Annual Fee as mentioned above.
• There will be an annual increase of 5% in tuition fee except in the case of BDS/MBBS/MD/MS/PG Diploma/MDS in which increase will be 10%.
• The above rates of Fee for MD/MS/PG Diploma Course are excluding onetime Registration Fee of Rs. 40,000/-, caution money of Rs. 50,000 and University charges @ 26,500/- per year.
• Fee for MBBS/BDS are excluding Registration Fee of Rs. 40,000/- and University charges @ 18,300/- per year.
• The student joining the dual - Degree/Diploma-Degree integrated program will have to pay the fee as applicable for the second integrated degree course at the time while moving into the integrated degree course.
• Hostel Charges will be extra and compulsory for MD/MS/PG Diploma/MDS/MBBS/BDS students.
• Students who wish to leave the Institute mid-stream, will have to deposit the fee for the remaining period of the course as per judgment of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of Islamic Academy of Education and others Vs State of Karnataka & PA Inamdar case.

Maharishi Markendeshwar University PG ( MDS ) Entrance Examination General Instructions– 2015

1.The Counselling Board shall have the power to call for any documents from the candidate in support of his / her claim and reject any certificate no considered valid.

2. The decision of the Counselling Board in this regard shall be final.

3.No judicial proceedings shall lie against the competent authorities i.e. the University for Counselling and Admissions.

4. All Admissions are provisional subject to their final registration by the Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Mullana and will be regularized after completing necessary requirements as per rules / Ordinances.

5.A candidate already admitted in any Dental College in MDS course will not be considered eligible for admission to MDS Course through this entrance test.

6.No foreign student shall be admitted to MDS course unless his / her candidature has been cleared by the respective Ministry / Department of Govt. of India.

7. The University has the right to change the dates of Entrance Test, Venue of Entrance Test, Date of declaration of result due to any unavoidable circumstances.

8. The selection for admission will be treated as cancelled, if the selected candidate does not join the college on the stipulated date fixed by the counselling Board.

9. If any candidate of his / her parents or guardian are found to have submitted any false affidavit / certificate, not only the candidate’s admission will be cancelled but the person filling such affidavit / document will also be liable to be prosecuted in accordance with Law.

10. The rules given herein are provisional. These may be changed or modified by the university at any stage.

11. Candidates who fail to attend the Medical Examination on th notified date ( s ) will  forfeit the claim for admission and placement in the waiting list.

12. On the failure of the selected candidates to report for admission, the vacancies caused would be filled from the candidates from, the waiting list in the order of merit of the Entrance Test after giving due notice and wide publicity of the date for the Counselling.

13. The University has appointed the following Grievance committee, which will examine / decide objections, if any ,filed by any of the candidate ( s ) who has / have appeared in the Entrance Test within 48 hours from the publication of the merit list.

ii) Dr.Jyoti Sarin, Dean,Faculty of Nursing, M.M.University, Mullana – Ambala.

iii) Dr.G.C.Patnaik, Principal, MM Institute of Medical Sciences & research, Mullana – Ambala.

14. If a candidate fails to attend the first counselling he / she will not be allowed to attend any subsequent counselling ( s ), if held for the purpose’.

15. In case of any ambiguity in the rules, interpretation of the same as given by the vice-Chancellor shall be final.

16.In case the candidates qualified in the Entrance Test are not available, vacant / leftout seats  will be filled up on the basis of the merit of the qualifying examinations.

17. Subject to availability of hostel accommodation on first come first served basis, every student admitted to the course will have to reside in hostels of the institute.
