North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences( NEIGRIHMS ) Entrance Exam

NEIGRIHMS is an Autonomous Institute established by Government of India in 1987 under the Meghalaya Registration of Societies Act 1983. The then Prime Minister Late Rajiv Gandhi dedicated the Institute to the memory of Late Indira Gandhi, former Prime Minister for her commitment to the welfare and affection for the people of North Eastern Region.

It has now been designed as a Postgraduate Medical Institute in the lineage of AIIMS, New Delhi and PGIMER, Chandigarh. NEIGRIHMS has been the First and the only Postgraduate Medical Institute in the North Eastern Region and third in the country established by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute Of Health & Medical Sciences  invites application for the admission of MBBS Course through Medical Entrance Examination. The course is recognized by Medical Council of India ( MCI ) and affiliated to the North Eastern Hill University ( NEHU ), Shillong. NEIGRIHMS 2021 B.Sc Entrnace Exam - Eligibility Criteria

NEIGRIHMS – B.Sc Medical Entrance Examination Eligibility Criteria - 2014

Candidates belonging to all categories seeking admission to the B.Sc. Nursing degree course ( Basic ) should fulfill the following criteria:-

Candidate Should have passed 10+2 Examination with Science ( PCB ) and English Core / English Elective from recognized board under AISSCE / CBSE / ICSE / SSCE / HSCE or other equivalent board.

Candidate should secure an aggregate of 45% or more marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.

Candidate should have completed the minimum age of 17 years on or before the 31st December, 2014 and not exceeding the maximum age of 25 years as on 31st December, 2014.

Candidates found guilty of misconduct or convicted for any offence shall not be eligible for admission.

Candidates should be medically fit.

Candidates should be a citizen of India.
