WBUHS 2021 PG Eligibility Criteria

West Bengal University Of Health Sciences ( WBUHS ) Medical Entrance Examination Eligibility Criteria - 2015 

For WB PGMAT / WB PGDAT - 2015

PGMAT - 2015:

Open Category Seats:

State Govt vide it’s no HF / O / MERT / 570 / 2H-06 / 14 dated 01.12.2014 and subsequent vide no. HF / O / MERT / 1588 / 2H-06 / 14 dated 04.12.2014 defined the eligibility criteria for applying in the “open category” out of state quota seats for the following candidates:

Citizen of India and permanent resident / domicile in West Bengal who have passed Secondary or its equivalent and Higher secondary or its equivalent from institutions in West Bengal and have obtained the M.B.B.S degree from any University of the State of West Bengal and they have completed or schedule to complete their rotating internship for one year before 31 March 2015. He / she should possess provisional / permanent registration number from WBMC.

Citizen of India who have passed secondary or equivalent and higher secondary or equivalent both from the institutions in the state of West Bengal but obtained MBBS Degree from any University other than that of West Bengal that is from any other state / UT from India or abroad and recognized by Medical Council of India and have completed one year compulsory rotating internship in MCI recognized institute of India and have Medical Council of India’s permanent registration number and candidate / parent is permanent resident / domicile in West Bengal

Citizen of India who have not passed secondary or equivalent or higher secondary or equivalent from the institutions in the state of West Bengal and have obtained MBBS degree from any University in India or abroad recognized by Medical Council of India and have completed one year compulsory rotating internship in MCI recognized institute of India and have Medical Council of India’s / respective state medical council permanent registration number and candidate / parent is permanent resident / domicile in West Bengal.

The candidates with MBBS degree and in permanent Government service in West Bengal other than WBHS / WBMES / WBPH & AS services under Health and Family Welfare Department irrespective of state of domicile or residence will be eligible to apply provided the present employer allows him / her to pursue the course during total training period. Such candidate if resigns from the service anytime during the process of examination to selection and pursuing the course, his / her candidature will be cancelled outright.

Open Category candidates, if selected have to sign a bond for rendering service for two year / three year after completion of course and training in PG degree and PG diploma respectively as notified by Government of West Bengal vide its memo no. HF / O / MERT / 923 / ME / MISC-78-13 dated 10.06.2014

State Government Sponsored Seats:

Citizen of India who have been in regular service with the Health and Family Welfare Department, ( WBMES / WBHS / WBPH & AS ) of Government of West Bengal are eligible to apply for State Sponsored Seats provided MBBS degree obtained by the candidate is recognized by Medical Council of India and such candidates are sponsored by Government of West Bengal. Candidates who did their Medical Graduation from foreign countries will submit necessary document regarding Nationality and other criteria enforced by Medical Council of India.

Placement of trainee reserve is based on “ The West Bengal Medical Education Service and the West Bengal Health Service and the West Bengal Public Health cum-Administrative Service ( Placement on Trainee Reserve ) Rules 2008” and subsequent relevant order issued by Healh and Family Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal.

Candidate opting for Government Sponsored seats must satisfy conditions of her / his eligibility for Govt. sponsorship in accordance with the Rules / Orders of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal prevalent at the given time.

Eligibility of in-service candidate pursuing PG Diploma / Fellowship in any discipline and placed on Trainee Reserve currently is also subject to prevalent Rules and Orders in force of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal.

Relevant orders and Rules from Government of West Bengal issued from time to time will be abided by the University for eligibility and other associated issues.

PGDAT - 2015:

Citizen of India and permanent resident / domicile in West Bengal who have passed Secondary or its equivalent and Higher secondary or its equivalent from institutions in West Bengal and have obtained the B.D.S degree from any University of the State of West Bengal and they have completed or schedule to complete their rotating internship for one year before 31 March 2015.

He / she should possess permanent registration number from WBDC / DCI / other council except candidates who are pursuing internship after passing BDS from the colleges affiliated to WBUHS .

Citizen of India who have passed secondary or equivalent and higher secondary or equivalent both from the institutions in the state of West Bengal but obtained BDS Degree from any University other than that of West Bengal that is from any other State / UT from India or abroad and recognized by Dental Council of India and have completed one year compulsory rotating internship in DCI recognized institute of India and have Dental Council of India’s permanent registration number and candidate / parent is permanent resident / domicile in West Bengal

Citizen of India who have not passed secondary or equivalent or higher secondary or equivalent from the institutions in the state of West Bengal and have obtained BDS degree from any University in India or abroad recognized by Dental Council of India and have completed one year compulsory rotating internship in DCI recognized institute of India and have Dental Council of India’s / respective state Dental council permanent registration number and candidate / parent is permanent resident / domicile in West Bengal.

The candidates with BDS degree and in permanent Government service in West Bengal other than WBDS / WBDES services under Health and Family Welfare Department irrespective of State of domicile or residence will be eligible to apply provided the present employer allows 3 him / her to pursue the course during total training period.

Such candidate if resigns from the service anytime during the process of examination to selection and pursuing the course, his / her candidature will be cancelled outright. Open Category candidates, if selected have to sign a bond for rendering service for three years after completion of course and training in PG degree as notified by Government of West Bengal vide its memo no. HF / O / MERT / 923 / ME / MISC-78-13 dated 10.06.2014

Application for admission to MDS Courses will not be accepted unless the candidates have got themselves registered with permanent registration number given by the West Bengal Dental Council or Dental Council of India or any other council.

But the candidates, who passed BDS from affiliated colleges of WBUHS and their internship is to be completed on or before 31 March, 2015 will not require putting registration number.

Candidates applying for the Govt. sponsored seats must be is in regular service of the Government of West Bengal under the Health and Family Welfare Depth. and is sponsored by the Govt. of West Bengal shall be eligible to apply for admission even if such candidates obtained their B.D.S. degree from any other Institution located outside the State of West Bengal, which is recognized by DCI. Such candidates will be required to produce necessary sponsorship certificate from the Government of West Bengal before being considered for admission on the day of counseling.

Eligibility and placement as Trainee Reserve will be guided by the West Bengal Dental Education Service and the West Bengal Dental Service ( Placement on Trainee Reserve ) Rules , 2013.published vide memo no . HF / O / DENTAL / 232 / ME / TR – 02 - 2012 . Dated ; Kolkata, the 24th September, 2013.

Candidate who is already pursuing any other course is not eligible for admission till they complete the course but will be eligible if the course is due to be completed within 30 April 2015. However, candidate, pursuing any other course, is permitted to apply, but her / his candidature will be considered during counseling only on production of the course completion certificate from Head of the Institution / resignation letter from the course undertaken, duly countersigned and accepted by the appropriate authority.
