Geo Genius 2021 notifications

In 2010 a group of Indian geographers launched the idea of a National Level Geography Competition or Olympiad for school students. The first National Geography Olympiad was held in 2010 with one thousand students participating from twenty schools, the second in 2011 where the number rose to three thousand students from sixty schools, and the third in 2012 where the number of participants increased to five thousand students from hundred schools. And now in 2017, we have an association of more than ten thousand students from two hundred schools across the country.

Geo Genius takes the lead in organizing an efficient and high-quality Olympiad; promotes the Olympiad nationwide; stimulates national level geography competitions; defines the areas, themes and geographical skills to be included in the Olympiad; maintains an up-to-date Olympiad website; works in consultation with the leading geographers and infuse funds to organize the Geography Olympiad. The exam fees are to be paid by the participating students for enrolling into this competition. This money along with some contributions from the Geo Genius organizing committee is carefully spent on exam assessments, certificates, medals, trophies, mementos and prizes; and other nominal overheads expenses.
