Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology ( DAIICT ) PhD Entrance Exam Pattern – 2018

Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology ( DAICT ) has conducted Entrance Examination for the admission of PhD course during the academic year 2018-19.

PhD entrance written examination is of two hour duration. The question paper consists of two parts. Part-I is compulsory for all. Part-II contains separate sections for different specialization areas.

PART- I

Mathematical Aptitude and Reasoning

Elementary multiple choice questions from the following topics: Mathematical Logic, Set Theory and Algebra, Combinatory, Linear Algebra, Calculus, Probability and Statistics, Reasoning ability.

The level of difficulty would be at 10+2 standard.

PART- II

This part consists of five sections: Electronics, Communication Systems, Computer Science, Physics, and Mathematics. Each section will have 8 questions. You may attempt as many questions from as many sections, however, it is likely that you attempt most of the questions from a section that matches your core area of expertise.

We expect that you will have enough time to answer at least four questions.

Syllabus and suggested books for each of the sections are given below. Questions will be of a difficulty level similar to a B.Tech level course.
