Indian Institute of Science Education and Research ( IISER ) PhD Entrance Exam

The Government of India, through the Ministry of Human Resource Development ( MHRD ), has established five Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research ( IISER ). These institutes are located in Bhopal, Mohali, Pune, Kolkata and Thiruvanantapuram. The IISERs represent a unique initiative in India where teaching and education are totally integrated with state-of-the-art research nurturing both curiosity and creativity in an intellectually vibrant atmosphere of research. IISER announced admission for the motivated candidates to PhD and Integrated PhD progrrammes in Biological Sciences. The admission is based on the JGEEBILS ( GS- 2015 ) score. The students who have been short listed based on their JGEEBILS GS-2015 score and are eligible to apply to the Ph. D. program in Biological Sciences at IISER Pune for the academic session starting from August 2015.

The shortlisted candidates to apply to the program by filling out the application form available in the website : http://jobs.iiserpune.ac.in/biology.

Kindly go through the eligibility criteria carefully prior to applying to the program. Please make sure that all the relevant entries are made properly in the requisite fields.

Please note that candidates are required to give special attention to the questionnaire section and articulate your answers clearly. Candidates will be shortlisted for interview based on their score in JGEEBILS GS-2015 and the Eligibility Criteria. Importantly, incomplete applications will not be considered for further processing.

The deadline to receive completed application forms : Feb 20th, 2015.
