SSC Multi Tasking Staff Exam

The Staff Selection Commission has recently released a notification for filling 8300 vacancies in various multi tasking posts. The SSC will hold an exam in 2 stages to select suitable candidates for multi tasking staff. The 1st stage will be a common test for all candidates. On clearing the common test, you will have to appear for the 2nd stage of the exam – descriptive paper. If you get selected, you will be recruited to General Central Service Group ‘C’ Non – Gazetted, Non – Ministerial posts in various Central Government Ministries / Departments / Offices, in different States/ Union Territories. The Commission will hold a Common Examination for all applicants for posts in different States / UTs. Eligibility

Age Limit and Relaxation (as on 01.08.2017)

You must fall in the age bracket of 18 to 25 years. This means that you must not be born earlier than 02.08.1992 and not later than 01.08.1999. Note that your birth date should reflect in your matriculation/secondary exam certificate.

Age relaxation applies as per the government norms. For more information refer the detailed official notification given at the end of this article. Some of the age relaxations are:

SC - 5 years
OBC - 3 years
PH + Cerebral Palsy - 10 years
PH + OBC + Cerebral Palsy - 13 years
PH + SC/ST + Cerebral Palsy - 15 years

Educational Qualifications

You must have passed Matriculation Examination OR equivalent from a recognized Board. If you have not acquired but will acquire the educational qualification and be able to show documentary evidence from the Board/ University in support of the same, as on 01.08.2017, you will also be eligible.
